Geographic Areas in Naples, Florida
Below is a map of Naples real estate broken into its geographic sections. The Naples Florida Board of Realtors divided Naples up this way to make it easier for realtors to identify the different sections of Naples. Unfortunately, the various areas are much harder to make sense of if you're seeing this map for the first time. Because homes are listed according to their geographic section and not necessarily their neighborhood, it's important to take a look at this map and figure out which sections you're interested in. For the most part, sections are defined by major highways and important crossroads. In general, however, specific neighborhoods tend to fall within specific geographic sections. Check out the map below and our description of each of the most prominent sections to learn more about what you'll find across Naples. NA01-NA07 - These sections make up Naples' beachfront property. In general, you'll find Naples’ most expensive and luxurious properties in one of these seven sections. Specific neighborhoods that are included throughout this area are North Naples W of 41, Vanderbilt Beach, Naples Park, Pelican Bay, Olde Naples, Naples Bay, Port Royal, and Aqualane Shores. Homes in this area tend to be single family homes within gated communities as well as condos. There are fewer golf courses in these areas, but there are several golf courses within a matter of miles. Many of the properties held within these sections have direct access to the beach, a boat dock, and/or excellent views of the Gulf of Mexico. NA09 - South Naples is mostly made up of quaint, older residences. However, a new community is currently being constructed in the area and there are plans to make this region chic and luxurious.
NA11 & NA12 - Together these sections make up North Naples and the homes you will find in this area include numerous condos and single-family style communities created back in the 1980s and 2000s. There are several upscale communities in this area as well as neighborhoods known for their traditional Floridian style.
NA13-NA16 - These sections constitute Central Naples or Mid Naples. The Naples real estate found closer to the western side of these sections was typically developed in the 1960s, whereas further east most of the real estate was built throughout the 2000s.
NA17 & NA18 - East Naples is where you'll find golf courses in abundance. This section is in close proximity to Olde Naples, FL.
NA19 – Lely is located near downtown, but further south. It was developed starting in the 1970s. NA22 &
NA23 - Known as Urban Estates, here you will find numerous single-family residences. NA24 - This section known as Golden Gate City. It is the most city-like section of Naples, Florida. NA31 - This area is referred to as East of Collier Boulevard and it contains a combination of newer communities, golf courses, private country clubs, and areas still waiting to be developed.
NA31 - South East Naples features newer communities and land waiting to be developed.
NA41-48 - These sections make up what is known as Golden Gate Estates. The area was primarily converted from swampland in the 1960s, and many homes in this region have plots larger than an acre in size. People who live here consider this area to be the country, and this land is known to be affordable compared to other Naples’ communities. If you are willing to trade off the club house, community pool and someone else doing your landscape for being able to have horses, atv's and several acres of property, this is your spot. The key is to be still in proximity to Collier Blvd, so you don't feel you're cut off from the city or civilization. Many active families or full year residents choose Golden Gate Estates if they are not interested in paying maintenance communities fees and HOA's.
